Spurthi

Varnika

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” The words of Mahatma Gandhi are a reminder to not wait for someone to work towards a positive vision you have but to start proactively working towards it yourself. Varnika and Spurthi wanted to provide a free resource where young people are able to discover and empower their ideas and voices while gaining more civic education, a key factor in working to foster an environment that advocates for beneficial change and works to amplify young people, their education system, health, and resources. Through these toolkits, they will give teenagers a way to get started with their civic journey by starting to think of ways they can benefit society and their peers while also seeing how to align their passions with a meaningful purpose.

We want you to experience the wonders of volunteering, appreciate the impact of your work, and most importantly, inspire others to do the same.

  • YLA’s environment emphasizes on peer-to-peer interactions because we believe that individuals who are close in age understand each other better than a person who is much younger or older than them. Therefore, we embrace every opportunity to meet new people who have similar interests and collaborate with different organizations to be aware of new perspectives of life.
